What To Consider

If you are like most people who are considering purchasing a log home, it may very well be one of your most important personal environmental and financial decisions you will make.

Budget

To be able to give an exact price, working drawings need to be finalized to almost every detail. The final cost on a home is as uniquely individual as the plan created for that structure, and one also needs to consider its location and local costs.

Maintenance & Staining

Well-built log homes should be around for centuries and if examples in the Scandinavian countries could be used as a guide, a thousand years is not an unreasonable expectation.

Environmental

On an initial impression, one might think building a log home would not be a good decision for the environment because it relies on cutting down trees, however, there is a lot more to consider than that casual first impression. In fact, there’s a solid argument to be made that using the logs that Moose Mountain Log Homes would use to build your log home, is better for our planet than leaving the trees in the forest!

Construction Links

We have been constructing log homes now for well over 35 years, the links below are just some of the companies we have been honored to work with. These companies have been given a great reference from either our home owners or from Moose Mountain Log Homes Inc. itself.
